HEERF I – CARES Act Student Emergency Fund Disclosure

Ohio Dominican University signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement in order to receive Emergency funds under the CARES Act. No less than 50 percent of the funds the university received from the CARES Act has been used to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to our students.

The total amount received in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students is $593,263.

The total amount distributed as of May 22, 2020 is $593,263.

Ohio Dominican University estimates that there were approximately 900 Title IV eligible students that were enrolled in face-to-face courses during the 2020 Spring semester that may have had expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child-care.

Ohio Dominican University received 437 applications from Title IV eligible students that were enrolled in face-to-face courses during the 2020 Spring semester and certified that they had expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child-care. All 437 approved applicants received Emergency Financial Aid Grant funds from the CARES Act.

Ohio Dominican University opened an application process for CARES Act Emergency Financial Aid Grants. Each applicant certified that they had incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child-care.

Ohio Dominican University awarded funds to student that met the following criteria:

• Currently be an enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a degree-granting program, or student pursuing initial teacher licensure
• Not have been enrolled in exclusively online courses during the 2020 spring semester
• Have completed the 2019-20 FAFSA demonstrating Title IV eligibility (U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, valid social security number, etc.)
• Have financial need or hardship related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care expenses.

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students provided to Ohio Dominican University of $593,263 was divided equally amongst all eligible applicants.

Several emails and text messages were sent to students with a link to the application and instructions at ohiodominican.edu/CARES.

The quarterly postings dated 9/30/2020 and 12/31/2020 cover all HEERF fund expenditures for Section 18004(a)(1) Student Portion funds.

HEERF II – CRRSAA and ARP Student Emergency Fund Disclosure

Ohio Dominican University signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a) (1) and (a) (4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.  

The total amount received in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students is $593,263. 

The total amount distributed as of May 3, 2021 is $593,263. 

Ohio Dominican University estimates that there were approximately 1144 Title IV eligible students enrolled during the 2021 Spring semester at the time of disbursement that may have had financial need or hardship related to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care expenses.  

Ohio Dominican University awarded 539 student Emergency Grant under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs. 

Ohio Dominican University opened an application process for HEERF II Student Emergency Grant Funds during the 2021 Spring Semester.  Each applicant certified that they had financial need or hardship related to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care expenses. Ohio Dominican University awarded funds to student that met the following criteria: 

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a degree-granting program, or student pursuing initial teacher licensure
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Had financial need or hardship related to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care expenses. (Students with exceptional financial need as demonstrated with 2020-21 FAFSA results were given priority.) 

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students provided to Ohio Dominican University of $593,263 was divided amongst all eligible applicants as follows.

• All applicants eligible for the Federal Pell Grant according to their 2020-21 FAFSA results were awarded $1,500 each
• All otherwise eligible applicants received $805.69 each

HEERF III – ARP Student Emergency Fund Disclosure

Ohio Dominican University signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the ARP (a) (1) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. 

The total amount received in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students is $1,758,857. 

The total amount distributed as of Dec 31, 2021 is $1,758,857. 

Ohio Dominican University estimates that there were approximately 1267 eligible students enrolled during the 2021 Summer semester and/or the 2021 Fall semester at the time of disbursement that may have had financial need or hardship related to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care expenses. 

Ohio Dominican University awarded 1265 student Emergency Grants under the ARP (a)(1) programs. 

Ohio Dominican University awarded block grants to all eligible students that were enrolled during the 2021 Summer semester and/or the 2021 Fall semester at the time of disbursement. Ohio Dominican University awarded funds to students that met the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a degree-granting program, or student pursuing initial teacher licensure
• Students with exceptional financial need as demonstrated with 2021-22 FAFSA results were given priority. These were students eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.

The amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students provided to Ohio Dominican University was divided amongst all eligible students as follows.

• All currently enrolled students eligible for the Federal Pell Grant according to their 2021-22 FAFSA results were awarded $1500 each for the 2021 Summer semester and $1450 each for the 2021 Fall semester.
• All otherwise eligible students received $1000 each for the 2021 Summer semester and $932.70 each for the 2021 Fall semester.

An email went out to all eligible students informing them of the amount that they would receive.
