ODU Scholarship Packages

As a traditional undergraduate student at Ohio Dominican – whether you're a first-time freshmen or a transfer – you have access to numerous opportunities to earn additional scholarship aid to help make the cost of an ODU education even more affordable. No matter what your interests are, chances are there’s a scholarship that’s perfect for you!

ODU Scholarship Packages

All traditional undergraduate applicants will be evaluated for Ohio Dominican scholarships at the time of acceptance. Scholarship levels are determined after a holistic review of the application file, including but not limited to high school GPA and official test score.

ODU Scholarship Package Range
$14,000 - $21,000

Our ODU Scholarships are renewable for up to four years while you pursue a traditional undergraduate degree as long as you are enrolled full time and maintain good academic standing. Please note your ODU package amount already reflects your participation in our Refer a Panther and Legacy programs, if applicable.

Honors Scholarships
$1,000 - Full Tuition

ODU offers both an Honors Distinction Scholarship, which covers your full tuition over four years, as well as an Honors Scholarship, which provides an additional $1,000 per year to students who participate in ODU's Honors Program.

Transfer Scholarship Packages

ODU's Transfer Scholarships for traditional undergraduates are based on transcripts from your previous college or university. Your scholarship award is renewable for up to four years as long as you meet certain academic criteria stated at the time of the scholarship. ODU Scholarships are contingent upon your application, acceptance, and full-time enrollment at ODU.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Additional $2,000

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship $2,000

ODU's Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is awarded to transfer students who are current members of Phi Theta Kappa and in the process of completing their first undergraduate degree. You must be enrolled at ODU full time and have already completed a minimum of 12 semester hours of transferable college credit after graduating from high school. The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is a state-funded program aimed at graduating more students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM).

Funded by the National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, the Noyce Scholarship provides tuition funds to students who aspire to teach biology (life science), mathematics or chemistry in secondary schools located in underserved communities.

ODU's St. Albert Scholars Program is a National Science Foundation-funded initiative to help increase enrollment, retention and success off students majoring in Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science.

ODU Promise Scholarships

Both our Panther Promise and Columbus Catholic Promise programs provide eligible students who meet certain academic requirements and are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant with a scholarship that, when combined with other financial resources, may completely cover your ODU tuition. Panther Promise

Ohio Dominican is proud to partner with I Know I Can to offer its Panther Promise Program, which provides students from Columbus City Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools, South-Western City Schools and Whitehall City Schools with financial resources and support to help make an ODU education attainable.

Catholic Promise

Ohio Dominican has partnered with the Diocese of Columbus to create the Columbus Catholic Promise Program. The program provides eligible students who graduate from one of the Columbus Diocese’s 11 high schools with financial resources and support to help make an ODU education attainable.

Additional Scholarships

An endowed scholarship is established with funds received from external donors. It can be either merit-based or need-based depending on donor preferences.

Students do not apply for these scholarships. The ODU Financial Aid Office matches qualifying students to these scholarships each year.

Ohio Dominican University offers its Bishop Frederick F. Campbell Diocesan Scholarship to Catholic high school students. To qualify, students must:

  • Attend one of the 11 Catholic high schools in the Columbus Diocese.
  • Earn a cumulative 3.0 or higher grade point average.
  • Meet ODU’s current undergraduate admission standards.
  • Pursue full-time enrollment at ODU for the fall semester.

The scholarship is for incoming freshmen only and is renewable for up to four years, as long as students maintain their good academic standing.

This allows students the possibility of earning up to $4,000 over four years on top of any additional merit and/or need-based financial aid.
