COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican University (ODU) has announced the launch of the Catholic High Schools Scholarship, a new initiative aimed at supporting students graduating from Catholic high schools across Ohio. The scholarship offers up to $4,000 per semester, or $8,000 annually, for qualifying students pursuing an undergraduate degree at ODU.
As Central Ohio’s only Catholic university, ODU is dedicated to academic excellence and moral development. The university is committed to continuing the legacy of Catholic education by making higher education more accessible to students from Catholic high schools statewide.
To qualify for the Catholic High Schools Scholarship, students must:
• Be accepted to ODU beginning with the 2025 Fall semester and enroll as a full-time student.
• Graduate from any accredited Catholic high school in Ohio.
This scholarship is available exclusively to new incoming students and is renewable for up to four years, as long as students maintain good academic standing. Awards will be up to $4,000 per fall and spring semester, not to exceed the total cost of tuition and student service fees when combined with other grants and scholarships.
Qualified students do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Once accepted to ODU, the scholarship will be automatically included in their financial aid package. Prospective students can apply at ohiodominican.edu/CatholicSchools.
“We are excited to provide this new scholarship to support Ohio’s Catholic high school graduates who are committed to continuing their educational journey at Ohio Dominican University,” said Dr. Shonna Riedlinger, acting president of Ohio Dominican University. “This scholarship reflects our deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education and offers a tremendous opportunity for students to receive a transformative education rooted in faith, service, and leadership.”
