Columbus, OH – Ohio Dominican University (ODU) Assistant Professor of Philosophy Jeremy Skrzypek, Ph.D., was recently awarded a 2024 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipend for his book project, “Matter and Form in Contemporary Metaphysics: Structure, Power, or Activity?” which will be completed this summer.
Dr. Skrzypek’s award, which includes a $6,000 stipend, is one of 97 NEH Summer Stipends granted to support humanities scholars in undertaking research for books and articles. The NEH Summer Stipends were announced on April 16, 2024, as part of $26.2 million in NEH grants awarded for humanities projects across the country.
Skrzypek joined the Philosophy faculty at Ohio Dominican University in 2022. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from Saint Louis University and his main areas of research are metaphysics, medieval philosophy and philosophical theology. His published work has appeared in “Erkenntnis,” “The European Journal of Philosophy,” “Synthese,” “The Journal of Analytic Theology,” “Oxford Studies in Medieval Philosophy,” “Analytic Philosophy,” “The European Journal for Philosophy of Religion” and elsewhere.
