More than 150 donors participated in Ohio Dominican University’s 2023 Day of Giving, which took place April 27-28. During the special 24-hour fundraising event, which took place from noon to noon, 152 donors gave a total of $41,500 to support current and future ODU students.
While the Day of Giving has concluded, individuals who would like to make a gift in support of students may still do so at give.ohiodominican.edu.
During this time, students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, friends and supporters had the opportunity to make a gift in support of one of the following areas: ODU’s Annual Fund, annual scholarships for students, athletics, or academic support for students.
The event coincided with ODU Day, which the university hosts annually to mark the conclusion of each academic year. While traditionally a student-focused celebration, the university encouraged all members of the campus community to celebrate the occasion this year by making a gift in recognition of this special moment in ODU students’ lives and to celebrate their accomplishments of the past year.
“I am extremely grateful for the kind and generous support of those within our campus community who made a gift to benefit our incredible students,” ODU President Connie Gallaher said. “I knew Panther Nation would get behind this initiative, but I am ever so delighted at how much we were able to raise in such a short period of time. Each gift we received has the power to change a student’s life forever, and I am excited at the doors that were opened because of those who believe in the transformative power of an ODU education.”
